In memoriam Luisa Elena Delgado

The Madrid Institute for Advanced Study, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the death of Professor Luisa Elena Delgado, professor of Spanish literature, cultural and literary theory, and gender studies at the University of Illinois and member of our International Scientific Advisory Committee (CIAC), would like to express its deepest condolences to her family, her institution of origin (University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign) and the academic community in general for such a sad loss. Luisa Elena Delgado carried out invaluable work in the CIAC, contributing with her work to creating a plural and prestigious MIAS community. We will miss her.
