Following the success of its short-term programmes, the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study (MIAS), in collaboration with the Centre d'études Picasso at the Musée national Picasso-Paris, is launching a new call for applications for a three-month research residency.

This new short-term residency call is offered in collaboration with the Centre d'études Picasso. It is open to researchers and artists with an outstanding track record in the fields of the arts, humanities, and social and legal sciences. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent).

Applications may be submitted until 10 September 2026 (17:00 Madrid time).

Co-funding: Co-funded by the European Union through the Choose Europe for Science programme (HORIZON-MSCA-2025-COFUND-02-01)

Profile: PhD holders who obtained their doctoral degree between 3 and 10 years prior to the last day of 2026, subject to the eligibility conditions and extensions set out in the call.

Duration: 3 years (renewable for an additional 2 years)
