Financial conditions

Monthly payment of 1000€

Provision of accommodation at Casa de Velázquez* and **

Provision of a return trip up to the maximum value of 250€**

A additional mobility aid of up to 300€ can be granted to candidates coming from Africa and Latin American countries, on request
 

Conditions

Possess a PhD title

Good knowledge of at least two of these languages: English, French and Spanish

Have not resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the closing date for the submission of this call

Only projects in Human and Social Sciences will be accepted

The project must comply with the scientific orientations of the MIAS and Casa de Velazquez's scientific guidelines

Lucienne Domegue Programme: As this grant is supported by the Institut français d'Espagne, preference will be given to researchers who have or have had a link with French research centres. 

PicALsso: As this grant is supported also by the Centre d'Études Picasso of the Musée National Picasso-Paris, candidates must reside in a Latin American country and provide evidence of research on topics related to the critical and cultural reception of Pablo Picasso’s work in Latin America, as well as the necessity of carrying out a research stay in Spain and France. * Accommodation is in accordance with the Casa de Velázquez’s rules of procedures and is subject to availability.

** The three-month stay at PicALsso programme will be distributed as follows: six weeks in Madrid and six weeks in Paris. The researcher will be accommodated respectively at the Casa de Velázquez (Madrid) and the Colegio de España (Paris). Since this grant involves travel halfway through the stay, travel expenses between Madrid and Paris will be reimbursed up to a limit of €200.
