The following formats are available:
- Early Career Fellowships (4–10 months) for researchers up to eight years after completing their PhD
- Senior Fellowships (3–8 months) for scholars with at least eight years of postdoctoral research experience
- Sustainable Governance Fellowship for researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences based at African institutions (6 months)
