Rosa NAVARRO

Autonomous University of Madrid

Rosa Navarro is a professor of Literature and a writer. She obtained her PhD with a European Mention with a dissertation on the Poetics of the Short-Short Story in German and Spanish at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where she currently teaches. She has also worked at Alfonso X el Sabio University, UNIR, and the Instituto Cervantes.

As a professor, she has delivered seminars and lectures and has undertaken research stays at foreign universities, including the University of Augsburg (Germany), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), United States International University-Africa (Kenya), the University of Chile, and the University of Costa Rica. She has also undertaken research stays at Spanish universities, including the University of Oviedo, as part of the Leonard Cohen Chair programme.

She is a Founding Member of the OIR (Ibero-American Rhetoric Organization) and the SERET (Spanish Rhetoric Society). Since 2025, she has also been an Academic Member of the Real Sociedad Económica Matritense de Amigos del País and Deputy Director of the University Institute La Corte en Europa (IULCE).

She has numerous academic publications and has participated in various research projects. She serves as a reviewer and as a member of the editorial boards of several academic journals. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of the journal Libros de la Corte and Director of the UAM-Altamarea Continuing Education Master’s Degree in Creative Writing: Professionalization and the Literary Work Ecosystem.

She is a member of the International Association of Hispanists and of the research groups C[PyR] “Communication, Poetics and Rhetoric” and MiRed “Hypermedial Short-Short Fiction and Other Micro-Literary Forms: An Aesthetic Paradigm of Text-Visual Culture on the Web.” She is also a member of the Network for Literary Studies and Latin American Culture.
